CLICK HERE TO SEE THE ENTRIES FOR OCTOBER
As we are unable to hold this year’s Flower Show in the usual way, we are inviting people to submit photos in a ‘Virtual’ show. This will run over the rest of the summer, with separate ‘shows’ for each month.
In place of the normal show in August, we are planning two virtual shows for the rest of the summer; the deadlines for the following months are September 15th and October 15th.
You may enter as many classes as you like, and multiple items per class, but you cannot enter an individual item more than once (including in subsequent shows).
Please send your photos to p.vasey@btinternet.com with a note of which class(es) you are entering.
There is no charge for entry.
TIP
If you’re unsure of what to enter, take a look at the 2019 schedule for suggestions, but this year there are no hard and fast rules. For example, if last year’s schedule says ‘Five Pompon Dahlias (maximum diameter 5cm)’ and you only have three, of different diameters, it doesn’t matter! You can enter anything you think appropriate.
Fruit and vegetables
Any fruit or vegetables you have grown
Flowers
Any individual bloom, bunch of flowers or pot plant that you have grown
Decorative
Normally the schedule allows for bought material. This year, please feel free to use material from the hedgerows or gardens of your friends and families, in addition to things you have grown yourself. A photograph of any arrangement is acceptable, and need not adhere to the usual rules contained in the Show schedule
Handicrafts
Any item you have made and are proud of
Baking
Anything you have baked and wish we could taste!
Photography
Any photograph on the theme of ‘My garden in lockdown’
Children’s classes
Anything you have grown or made yourself, without adult help. (Photograph may be taken by an adult). Please enter in the appropriate age group: Under 5, 5-11 or 11-16. Entrants under 16 may also enter any class in the main schedule
